- Will the truck sleeper seal work with thin metal or wood frames?
Yes, but there must be a flange no thicker than 3/16". For wood or thick materials, add a metal strip (like aluminum flat bar) around the opening for the truck sleeper seal to grip.
- Can the truck sleeper seal be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- I have a fiber glass camper shell. I want access to my camper shell from inside my cab but I don't want to lose heat and have a weatherproof seal. Will this product provide the right solution?
The accordion boot creates an air-tight and weather tight seal between the cabs. It does not provide any insulation. However, heat loss in minimize by the air-tight seal.
