- Does the bottom rubber seal camper shellrequire glue to install?
No glue is required. The bottom rubber seal camper shell has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can I cut the bottom rubber seal camper shell to fit around a third brake light?
No, cutting is not recommended. Instead, remove the brake light and cover the hole, or change how the boot is mounted if you need to preserve the light.
- I am installing a boot between a truck cab and utility box.The box is about 1/2" thick. Will the boot clips expand over that type of material?
The material will not stretch that far. The maximum size that flange can be is 3/16" to receive the rubber. One solution to consider is to use flat bar and attach that around the opening in the box. One thing you must also remember - both opening need to be the same size and similar in shape.
