- Does the truck cap sliding window require glue to install?
No glue is required. The truck cap sliding window has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can I cut the truck cap sliding window to fit around a third brake light?
No, cutting is not recommended. Instead, remove the brake light and cover the hole, or change how the boot is mounted if you need to preserve the light.
- Is the truck cap sliding window reusable if I remove it?
While technically reusable, removal often deforms the material or compromises the embedded clip, so we recommend replacing it if removed.
