Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the truck back window require glue to install?
No glue is required. The truck back window has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- What’s the difference between the flap and bulb compression boot?
The flap version has a straight edge, while the bulb version includes a rounded, softer cushion for enhanced sealing and flexibility.
- Can you make the accordion gasket in different colors?
Sorry the boot only comes in black. We have never tested it, but the rubber is epdm and with the right paint is can be colored. From the research the recommended paint should be an acrylic coating specifically designed for epdm rubber. Usually this is paint for roofing. Latex paint should be avoided.
