- Does the colorado springsrequire glue to install?
No glue is required. The colorado springs has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can the colorado springs be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- How do I know if I need a colorado springs or a compression boot?
Use a colorado springswhen both openings are identical in size and shape. Use a compression boot if there are size differences or no solid flange available.
