- Can I cut the sleeper seal to fit around a third brake light?
No, cutting is not recommended. Instead, remove the brake light and cover the hole, or change how the boot is mounted if you need to preserve the light.
- Can I install a sleeper seal in cold weather?
Yes, but it's best to warm the sleeper seal slightly beforehand. Cold temperatures may make the rubber less flexible and harder to manipulate during installation.
- Can you make the accordion gasket in different colors?
Sorry the boot only comes in black. We have never tested it, but the rubber is epdm and with the right paint is can be colored. From the research the recommended paint should be an acrylic coating specifically designed for epdm rubber. Usually this is paint for roofing. Latex paint should be avoided.
