- Can I keep my sliding windows and still use a foam truck boot?
Unfortunately, no. The slider windows must be removed because the foam truck boot requires a clean flange or wall to attach. Sliders block access to this area.
- Will a foam truck boot reduce road noise?
Yes, the air-tight seal created by the foam truck boot helps block wind noise and some road vibrations between the cab and camper.
- Do I need glue to install the accordion boot?
The rubber boot does not require glue for installation. It has a spring clip embedded in the rubber. When the boot is placed over a flange, the clip squeezes the rubber securely. The only optional gluing is at the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue). Avoid petroleum-based adhesives like rubber cement.
