- Will the camper boot work with thin metal or wood frames?
Yes, but there must be a flange no thicker than 3/16". For wood or thick materials, add a metal strip (like aluminum flat bar) around the opening for the camper boot to grip.
- Can I keep my sliding windows and still use a ?
Unfortunately, no. The slider windows must be removed because the camper boot equires a clean flange or wall to attach. Sliders block access to this area.
- Do I need glue to install the accordion boot?
The rubber boot does not require glue for installation. It has a spring clip embedded in the rubber. When the boot is placed over a flange, the clip squeezes the rubber securely. The only optional gluing is at the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue). Avoid petroleum-based adhesives like rubber cement.
