- Does the acordion boot sealrequire glue to install?
No glue is required. The acordion boot seal has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can I keep my sliding windows and still use a ?
Unfortunately, no. The slider windows must be removed because the acordion boot seal equires a clean flange or wall to attach. Sliders block access to this area.
- Would I need to use a silicon sealant to make sure the boot would not leak?
No, you do not need to use any additional sealant when installing the rubber boot.
