Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the truck topper to cab sealsrequire glue to install?
No glue is required. The truck topper to cab seals has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- What if the camper shell opening is larger than my truck window?
If the shell opening is larger, the truck topper to cab seals may not work. You’ll either need to modify the opening or consider a compression boot instead, which is more forgiving in such situations.
- Will one of these work on both sliding windows on truck & cap? I don't want to remove either sliding window.
In order for the boot to attach to the vehicle there must be some sort of thin wall or flange. Keeping the slider window will cover any flange or thin wall. In short you will not be able to use any or the boots if you keep the sliding windows in place as there will be no mechanical method to install the boot.
