Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the truck camper shell seals require glue to install?
No glue is required. The truck camper shell seals has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can the truck camper shell seals be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- How do I know if I need a truck camper shell seals or a compression boot?
Use a truck camper shell sealswhen both openings are identical in size and shape. Use a compression boot if there are size differences or no solid flange available.
