- What if the camper shell opening is larger than my truck window?
If the shell opening is larger, the rear window seal camper may not work. You’ll either need to modify the opening or consider a compression boot instead, which is more forgiving in such situations.
- Can I cut the rear window seal camper to fit around a third brake light?
No, cutting is not recommended. Instead, remove the brake light and cover the hole, or change how the boot is mounted if you need to preserve the light.
- I am installing a boot between a truck cab and utility box.The box is about 1/2" thick. Will the boot clips expand over that type of material?
The material will not stretch that far. The maximum size that flange can be is 3/16" to receive the rubber. One solution to consider is to use flat bar and attach that around the opening in the box. One thing you must also remember - both opening need to be the same size and similar in shape.
