- Does the leer truck cap bootrequire glue to install?
No glue is required. The leer truck cap boot has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can the leer truck cap boot be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- Can I install the boot myself?
Yes, most customers install the boot themselves with basic tools. A helper and soapy water can make the process easier.
