- Can the foam truck boot seals be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- Can I install the boot myself?
Yes, most customers install the boot themselves with basic tools. A helper and soapy water can make the process easier.
- Does the foam truck boot seals require glue to install?
No glue is required. The foam truck boot seals has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
