Frequently Asked Questions
- What if the camper shell opening is larger than my truck window?
If the shell opening is larger, the canopy accordion boot may not work. You’ll either need to modify the opening or consider a compression boot instead, which is more forgiving in such situations.
- Can the canopy accordion boot be painted?
We only sell black boots, but EPDM rubber can be painted using an acrylic roof coating rated for EPDM. Avoid latex and petroleum-based paints.
- Can you make the accordion gasket in different colors?
Sorry the boot only comes in black. We have never tested it, but the rubber is epdm and with the right paint is can be colored. From the research the recommended paint should be an acrylic coating specifically designed for epdm rubber. Usually this is paint for roofing. Latex paint should be avoided.
