No, cutting is not recommended. Instead, remove the brake light and cover the hole, or change how the boot is mounted if you need to preserve the light.
- Does the camper top compression boot seal require glue to install?
No glue is required. The camper top compression boot seal has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- Can I keep my sliding windows and still use a ?
Unfortunately, no. The slider windows must be removed because the camper top compression boot seal equires a clean flange or wall to attach. Sliders block access to this area.
