Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much camper shell rubber sealsdo I need?

This material is sold by the foot. To determine how much camper shell rubber seals you need, measure the full distance around your cab or window opening. Most full-size pickups need about 13–14 feet, while mini-trucks average around 10 feet.

  • I have a truck with a wood framed utility box and would like join the cab and box using the accordion boot. How to I attach the boot?

You will not be able to attach the boot material to the wood, It is too thick. The best way to remedy this is to add a flange to the box. This could be done with steel or aluminum flat bar, or something similar (i.e. sheet metal, fiberglass), installed around the perimeter of the opening to allow the boot to attach to the box

  • Will one of these work on both sliding windows on truck & cap? I don't want to remove either sliding window.

In order for the boot to attach to the vehicle there must be some sort of thin wall or flange. Keeping the slider window will cover any flange or thin wall. In short you will not be able to use any or the boots if you keep the sliding windows in place as there will be no mechanical method to install the boot.
