- Does the accordian camper seal require glue to install?
No glue is required. The accordian camper seal has a spring clip embedded in the EPDM rubber that clamps onto a thin flange. You can optionally glue the seam using cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but avoid petroleum-based adhesives.
- What if the camper shell opening is larger than my truck window?
If the shell opening is larger, the accordian camper seal may not work. You’ll either need to modify the opening or consider a compression boot instead, which is more forgiving in such situations.
- Would I need to use a silicon sealant to make sure the boot would not leak?
No, you do not need to use any additional sealant when installing the rubber boot.
